Max Storey helps people. Professionally, he is a paramedic–he saves lives. In his spare time, he is a backyard mechanic–he saves bikes. I found Max through his Youtube channel, mrmaxstory, while trying to sort out some carburetor issues with my Hawk I have since utilized many of his videos to help further my mechanical education. Max has literally helped millions of people with vintage motorcycle issues; his channel has received over 3,000,000 views since its start in 2009. Max isn’t stopping at Youtube. He has recently launched a site dedicated to providing roadside assistance for motorcyclist, themotorcyclemedic.com (a fitting name considering Max’s background as a health care professional).
Mechanical issues have you sitting on the side of the road? Hop on themotorcyclemedic.com, and follow a simple chain of menus that will hopefully lead you to a solution for your problem. Can’t get the issue resolved? Send a message directly to Max for some first aid with your motorcycle woes. It’s a noble endeavor as the site will not be ad supported, and will operate as a non-profit. I am thankful to Max for sharing his extensive (and self-taught) vintage motorcycle knowledge. Max’s new site, themotorcyclemedic.com is a terrific resource vintage bike riders. Get it bookmarked, and have your motorcycle emergency kit ready for the riding season!
